Luminosity Gaming Announce Newest Member Of CoD Roster Joining From OpTic Gaming
Luminosity Gaming have made the first major announcement of North American rostermania, as they reveal the recruitment of long time OpTic Gaming player Matthew “FormaL” Piper.
The rumors and leaks made this an expected move, after FormaL had been spotted in scrims with the LG team, and it is expected Sam “Octane” Larew will move to OpTic in his place (although not official yet).
The LG roster had been one of the more consistent teams throughout the CoD: WWII season, winning CWL Birmingham and finishing top 3 on two other occasions, including at the Pro League Stage One Playoffs.
The team did disappoint at the most recent event however, CWL Seattle, and with OpTic Gaming set to make a change, have snagged their opportunity to pick up arguably the best main AR player in recent years.
The outgoing Octane of course has also proven himself as one of the elite AR players, but perhaps a change for both teams is exactly what is needed to spur them to the next level.
Interestingly, both teams will face off in Division B of the CWL Pro League Stage Two, which will begin 29th May (Division A matches start on the 15th).

Please join us in welcoming Matthew “FormaL” Piper to the LG Call of Duty team. Formal will be taking over for the departing Samuel “Octane” Larew’s on the starting roster, effective immediately. We want to thank Octane for all of the memories we created together during his time with the organization and we wish him well in the next chapter of what will surely be a long, successful career.
