Modern Warfare 3 players accuse devs of using AI to make new skins
ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players are lashing out at the devs, accusing them of using AI to make new “silly skins.”
When it comes to the Call of Duty franchise, in-game cosmetics are some of the most contentious pieces of content included in the game.
While some fans enjoy grinding away for new skins or are happy to pay extra for some exclusive cosmetics, Modern Warfare 3 fans have taken issue with the latest string of arrivals.
In a new Reddit thread, MW3 fans called out the devs for releasing “silly skins” instead of more realistic-looking ones. The bright colors and impractical design being called out by many, some even accusing the designers of using AI to help generate these new designs.
One Redditor commented, “CoD artists are completely dumb or they’re just running this through some AI and putting it on the store.” Another claimed, “I’m starting to believe that they are using AI to come up with their bundles.”
A fellow MW3 player also chimed in, adding “I have no clue what they’re doing. People keep telling me that these skins are what sell, but I never see anyone using these lame a** skins. CoD artists are completely dumb or they’re just running this through some AI and putting it on the store.”
Other players have also argued that the recent skins have all looked quite similar to one another. “They’ve all been the same too, at least recently. Super bright, flashy, loud, in your face.
“Basically, if you don’t like that style of operator skin then there’s nothing in the store for you at all. Surely Activision wouldn’t let that happen though, right? Like I don’t want flashy operators so it’s an easy pass for me every time I see a new one enter the store. Haven’t spent a dime in the store yet.”
Time will tell if the MW3 devs address the accusations that they are now using AI to help generate new skins for the game. However, we’ll be sure to keep you updated if they do respond and speak up.
