Modern Warfare players shocked by Trophy System’s surprising effects

Modern Warfare players are finding a renewed appreciation for the Trophy System and its surprising potency to repel incoming enemy explosives.

Throwing down the Field Upgrade will protect players from two projectiles thrown at them, but it’s the wide range of equipment that it negates which is taking some players aback in the best way.

A gameplay clip shows a player in the middle of a chaotic battlefield fighting over the contentious point. Shortly after, they get “stuck” by a Semtex grenade, which is usually a good indicator that you’re about to be eliminated.

That’s when they threw down their Trophy System, and were surprised to see that it managed to repel the explosive – even though it had already landed on its mark.

“Am I the only one that didn’t know a Trophy System could do this?” Reddit user ‘Daboosie_’ said of the clip showing them deploying the item just as they were hit with the grenade.

The play took people aback at the efficiency that the small Trophy System has. A lot of players already know that it can deflect flashes, smoke grenades, I.M.S. charges, and more, but seeing it repel a Semtex already on a person was pleasantly surprising to see.

“This happened to me last week, I couldn‘t believe it!” user ‘h0heit’ said.

More people started to chime into the discussion with their experiences for what the Trophy System can handle.

“[The Trophy System] even protects against Cruise Missiles and Chopper Gunner rockets, I have a lot of fun messing with people,” user ‘_Joshua-Graham_’ said.

The thread quickly turned into an appreciation post for the system, since it’s bailed out a ton of players from tricky situations.

“Can we take a second to talk about trophy systems?” user ‘CodeRedJohns’ said. “They’re so useful to help combat the explosive spam in this game, but they only destroy 3 projectiles while only getting them as a field upgrade.”

Though it will remain as popular as it’s always been, the thread enlightened Modern Warfare players on the range of explosives and armaments that the Trophy System could help players overcome.
