Modern Warfare 3 players are over the moon as a classic Call of Duty attachment has finally made its return to the game with the Season 2 Reloaded update.

As Call of Duty has started to revisit old series’ and timelines over the last few years, plenty of weapons, maps, and characters have returned in a big way. Some of these returns have excited fans, especially as they get big hits of nostalgia from what they see as better days and games.

So, when Modern Warfare 3 was first announced and it was confirmed that the multiplayer side of things would mostly be a Modern Warfare blast from the past – including a majority of maps from the original MW2 and some weapons – they were delighted.

While new maps and weapons have been added at times, the Season 2 Reloaded update has brought back some other classic bits – including the Das Haus map – and one particular weapon attachment.

MW3 players love that CoD 4 attachment has finally returned

If you’ve missed it so far, the classic Red Dot Sight from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has been added to Modern Warfare 3, and fans are absolutely delighted by it – especially as it’s not been in a CoD game since Black Ops Cold War.

“So glad to see it back,” one fan commented. “I want to recreate the COD4 red tiger red dot M16 with the golden Deagle,” another said

“Maaaan I miss using this with the M4 so much, bring back CoD 4 please,” added another. “Immediately put it on every gun, love it,” another fan chimed in.

To unlock the classic sight, you have to level the new battle rifle, the SOA Subverter, all the way up to level eight.

It doesn’t offer any massive benefits to sway and control like other optics, but the nostalgia hit brings its own benefits.
