MW3 players demand the return of surprising “GOAT” small map
ActivisionMW3 players are demanding the return of a surprisingly popular small map in the game, going so far as to label it the “GOAT.”
There have been a large number of small maps that have made their way into Call of Duty players’ hearts over the years.
While many of them don’t stick around for long, there have been a decent handful that keep coming back by popular demand.
But now the community is demanding a surprising small map return to MW3 after being pulled from the game’s current rotation.
MW3 fans want surprising map to come back
A post was recently made on the MW3 subreddit that’s simply titled: “Unpopular Opinion: Meat is the GOAT Small map.”
The post describes why one user prefers Meat over other small maps in MW3: “Rust is a little slow paced. Shipment is too fast. Meat is perfect.”
The responses were largely in agreement, with one user succinctly saying: “100% agreed. It’s really standard for a small map. Neither too small like shipment, nor containing something like that tower in rust.”
Usually, maps like Shipment, Nuketown, or Rust are the ones that come back repeatedly. Meanwhile, Meat is a brand-new one that launched with the release of MW3. It’s not often that the CoD community is so welcoming of a new map that releases with a game.
But it looks like Meat has struck a chord with the community, as one player says, “Meat is by far the best small map since Nuketown. I actually prefer it over Nuketown.”
Other fans have named some of their favorite, lesser-known small maps that they want as well, like Shoothouse and Mayhem.
While MW3 has certainly faced its share of criticisms from the fanbase, it looks like Meat is one of those things that the devs don’t have to worry about.
