MW3 players want “annoying” weapon banned in Hardcore
ActivisionMW3 players are demanding that one of the game’s most divisive weapons be banned in the Hardcore modes of the game.
MW3 has a lot of different weapons for players to use in a match, each one aimed to bring something unique to the battle.
However, not every weapon is well-liked by the community and when this happens, fan are usually quick to voice their displeasure and demand change.
This is what’s happening with one weapon that MW3 fans believe is ruining the Hardcore modes and want it banned.
MW3 players don’t want divisive weapon in Hardcore modes anymore
The weapon in question is the RGL-80 grenade launcher, which can be equipped as a secondary weapon for a character.
In a post to the MW3 subreddit, a player initially advocated for it to be changed to a killstreak, which was taken further by the comments.
Most of the community believes the gun to be too weak normally, but that is can be a nightmare in Hardcore modes which increases the damage weapons can do.
“They’re probably referring to their experience on Hardcore Shipment. You can literally run through a spawn/die cycle 3-4 times in a row cuz people are just launching them into the spawn corners.”
It is clear that it is so much more powerful in Hardcore modes, that it has ruined the experience for plenty of MW3 players:
“Should be banned in HC,” is one comment that succinctly describes this.
There are some fans, however, that don’t understand why people are getting so upset by the use of the RGL-80:
“Why do people get so mad when people use weapons the way they are intended? Like if you are so sick of dying to it, retaliate and use it on them. It kind of works both ways. Also, just say you keep getting stomped by people with the RGL-80.”
Even with this possibility of retaliating against those who are using it, it is clear that a large part of the MW3 community is fed up with it.
