New Warzone map

For just the fourth time in Warzone history, the Call of Duty battle royale has a new map. Fortune’s Keep is now live following the Season 4 update and we’ve got the full rundown on all there is to know.

Since Warzone first launched in March 2020, new maps have been few and far between. Originally, there was just Verdansk, before it received a small update to become Verdansk ‘84, which arrived alongside Rebirth Island.

The Vanguard integration brought Caldera to the mix, replacing Verdansk, and since then players have been splitting their time between Caldera and Rebirth Island.

With the arrival of the Season 4 update, however, a new addition just joined the party. Fortune’s Keep is now in the spotlight so be sure to brush up on everything there is to know about the new map before dropping in.

Full Fortune’s Keep map with all POIs

On Monday, June 13, the full Fortune’s Keep map was finally revealed, showing off all of the POIs and the design decisions that players can expect to hop into when the map finally arrives.

Here is the full list of POIs, as shown in the image above:

  • Bay
  • Camp
  • Gatehouse
  • Graveyard
  • Grotto
  • Keep
  • Lighthouse
  • Overlook
  • Smuggler’s Cove
  • Terraces
  • Town
  • Winery

Fortune’s Keep lobby sizes

As Fortune’s Keep is another smaller option in Warzone, lobby sizes are considerably smaller than those found in Caldera BR playlists. Instead, the number of players in any given match is closer to that of the Rebirth experience.

Below is a exact lobby size of each playlist across Fortune’s Keep at launch:

  • Solo: 47
  • Duos: 46
  • Trios: 45
  • Quads: 40

It’s worth noting, however, much like recent Caldera changes, there’s always a chance Fortune’s Keep changes in the near future. Thus, we could see increased lobby sizes to up the ante or reduced player counts if things are a little too chaotic.

Black Market Run contracts on Fortune’s Keep

Exclusive to Fortune’s Keep are new Black Market Run contracts. Picking these up and completing the objective is your key to accessing extremely powerful loot in Black Market Buy Stations.

When did Fortune’s Keep arrive in Warzone?

After some early speculation, devs confirmed that Fortune’s Keep would arrive alongside Season 4 Mercenaries of Fortune on June 22.

Now that the new location is live for all to enjoy, it’s safe to expect Fortune’s Keep will be sticking around for quite some time. Given the interval between new maps, it could be a staple in the CoD BR for months to come.

Has Fortune’s Keep replaced Rebirth Island?

Rebirth Island is now on a daily rotation with Fortune’s Keep.

While fans were concerned Fortune’s Keep would outright replace Rebirth Island at first, devs have assured that isn’t the case.

Rather, both bite-sized BR maps will be on a daily rotation. At 10AM PT each day, Rebirth and Fortune’s Keep will trade places, giving players equal access to both maps.

This makes for a historic occasion in Warzone as these two will feature as part of the game’s first-ever map rotation cycle, a feature that’s been highly requested for many months.
