Shockz Explains why he Re-signed with Mindfreak over Other Offers

Call of Duty pro Shockz will be staying in Australia for the Black Ops 4 season.

Shockz was a free agent with sights on moving out of the APAC region, but issues with his schooling have caused him to re-sign with Mindfreak.

He made the announcement on Twitter and confirmed that he had received offers from teams in North America and Europe.

i need to finish my degree by next year so it would not have been possible to take up the offers i received. Whatever else you hear is false. lets do this @Mindfreak

After receiving criticism on reddit for not pushing back his studies until after his CoD career, Shockz explained that he has a limited amount of time to finish his degree.

in aus you have a limited time to finish a degree (+ ive already taken heaps of time off for cod in previous years)

Shockz looked set to leave Mindfreak in early September, even retweeting someone who was excited to see him “getting on some better teams.”

Mindfreak had disappointing top 14 finishes in both Stages of the CWL Pro League, but the Australian squad had one of their best performances at CWL Anaheim with a top 8 placing.

They also dominated their home region, winning five of the seven 2K tournaments they entered during WW2.

It is not all good news for Mindfreak as Denz is still seeking opportunities abroad for the Black Ops 4 season.

Shockz and Denz have flirted with leaving APAC before, when they were rumored to be joining ACHES on Cloud 9 during Infinite Warfare.
