Specialist perk set to return in Warzone with Rebirth Island comeback
ActivisionWarzone developers Raven Software have hinted at the return of the Specialist perk bonus in the Call of Duty battle royale, and it could be coming back with Rebirth Island.
2024 looks set to be an exciting year for Warzone, with Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island returning to the game and leaks suggesting the original map Verdansk is coming back, too.
These changes will no doubt be welcomed by the community, who have wanted these old maps to all return for some months now, especially Verdansk, which was removed in December 2021, and Rebirth Island, which left the game in November 2022.
Those classic beloved maps aren’t the only thing returning to Warzone, though, as teased by Raven in this Twitter/X post.
Sat on a pathway in Rebirth Island, a perk package is sat available to pick up, with the fist symbol that many original players will recognize as the Specialist perk.
For those unaware, the Specialist perk basically gave players every single perk when it was in the game, meaning no more headaches over which perk to utilize in which slot.
It’s unclear when exactly these will come to the game, whether it will be alongside Rebirth Island, which still doesn’t have a confirmed date, or at a different time.
You should also expect them to be very rare to find, so don’t hedge your bets on finding one when they do arrive.
Raven teased some big changes and updates coming in future seasons, including this hint at the Specialist return, but they’re still keeping their cards close to their chest on what else may be included and is being worked on currently.
