Call of Duty and developers of the upcoming Black Ops 4 have made a major statement of intent, creating a new official account dedicated to the PC community.

The PC community for Call of Duty has been largely neglected group in previous years, playing second fiddle to the console community.

And of course, competitive Call of Duty esports is played on console, making the focus on PC even lower down the list of priorities.

However, during the earnings call from Activision recently, they discussed that they would putting more efforts into the PC side of things, and it looks like that wasn’t just big talk.

The new Twitter account has been officially created just shortly ahead of the community reveal event, and signals an increased emphasis on the keyboard and mouse players.

Official account from Treyarch for the dedicated community of PC gamers who will be enjoying Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on their beloved PCs.

The esports community may speculate that Call of Duty will be investigating the possibility of PC competitive, however the console tradition is likely too strong to be shifted entirely at this point.

But, at the very least, the growth of a larger Call of Duty community on PC is a major step forward for the continued success of CoD generally, as more and more casual players move to PC.
