Warzone devs change health regen in major way

Call of Duty developers Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software released the Season 2 patch notes for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone that introduce new content and massive changes to things like health regeneration to balance the game.

The developer released patch notes for Season 2 that includes more content like The Walking Dead and Dune skins, new weapons, maps and missions.

Across Warzone and Modern Warfare, the gameplay changes include updates to kill streaks, changes to weapons in every category, and multiple Field Upgrades. The biggest change, however, might be to the player’s health regeneration during matches.

The community was not a fan of the time to kill across Season 1, so the developers are hoping to change the satisfaction of gunfights with this update.

Warzone new health regen

The developers have decreased the delay before health regen begins from four seconds to three. This should allow players to be able to fully recover from a gunfight and then be ready for the next one without feeling penalized for winning a close battle.

Players’ base health regeneration rate has also been increased massively. Previously, health regenerated at 40 health points per second. In Season 2, health will regen at 75 hp per second which is an increase of about 88 percent.

The developers explained in the patch notes that now it will take players about five seconds to go from 1 to 150 health, which is more than second seconds faster than before.

“These changes aim to enhance the intensity and satisfaction of gunfights,” the patch notes said.
