SpaceLy and co. win Nov 18-19 NA CWL 2K tournament – recap and final placements

The November 18-19 Call of Duty World League Black Ops 4 2000 Series tournament has now concluded for the North American region.

A roster featuring SpaceLy, MajorManiak, Havok, Nagafen, and Maux claimed victory in the third 2K of the season, securing the maximum 2,000 Pro Points and $1,500 first place cash prize.

They defeated the team known as ‘Regginald The 3rd,’ which features Evasion, GorgoKnight, LlamaGod, Sender, and Swarley, who were all playing in their first ever 2K finals. 

Despite the heavy talent on both sides, the matchup proved to be a lot more one-sided than many would expect, as SpaceLy and co. swept their opponents 3-0.

This is the third straight impressive performance that this squad has put in to start the Black Ops 4 season; they lost to OpTic Gaming in the finals of the first 2K on November 5 and lost to Splyce in the quarterfinals of last week’s tournament. 

With all five players firing on all cylinders, and team chemistry clearly at its peak, SpaceLy’s team has established itself as a force to be reckoned with in the NA region, and they’ll be hungry to make waves at the upcoming CWL Vegas event.

After their strong run in last season’s CoD Champs, SpaceLy, MajorManiak, and Maux have carried the momentum into Black Ops 4 with their new squad.

The first seven rounds of this 2K tournament were played on November 18, with the competition resuming the next day for the semifinals and grand final.

• SF1: Orgless 11-18 (3-0) Midnight Esports
• SF2: SweetChicken (0-3) Regginald The 3rd
• Final: Orgless 11-18 (3-0) Reginald The 3rd

For those who may not have noticed, a large number of the most prominent NA teams did not participate in this week’s 2K.

This is because eight of the top pro teams, including OpTic Gaming, Splyce, FaZe Clan, eUnited, Luminosity Gaming, Envy, 100 Thieves, and G2 Esports, all opted to compete in another tournament being played at the same time as the 2K.
