Amazing Overwatch Black Cat D. Va cosplay is so good it should be nerfed
Instagram: himeahri / Blizzard EntertainmentAn incredible Overwatch cosplayer has created a perfect version of one of the game’s most recognizable characters, showing off her near-perfect rendition of D.Va in her Black Cat skin.
D. Va is one of Overwatch’s most popular characters and is a former professional gamer herself, trading in her life as an esports icon to become a Mech Pilot in the Mobile Exo-Force. The 19-year-old was one of the original heroes introduced when the game launched, so it’s no surprise that many Overwatch fans have an affinity for her having seen her in action for so long, and many choose to cosplay as D.Va to show their appreciation and love for the character.
In January 2018, one of the hero’s most iconic skins was released in the form of her special ‘Black Cat’ look, and Overwatch fans have been dressing up in this exact outfit ever since, with cosplayer ‘himeahri’ becoming the latest player to show off their incredible version of the character.
Ahri, who admits that D. Va is a character she regularly plays, revealed her incredible take on the Black Cat skin on Instagram, and the cosplayer and streamer’s version is almost perfect, looking like it was lifted straight out of the game and brought into real life.
The cosplayer can be seen wearing the same black and purple dress that the character wears in-game, complete with the pink bow around her neck, and the pearl belt she wears on her waist, capturing every detail perfectly.
D. Va‘s gloves with pink cuffs are also there, while the streamer finishes the look off with the same feline ears that the mech pilot wears, and which give the skin its Black Cat name, complete with the pink bows in her hair, matching the one tied around her neck.
This isn’t the first time that Ahri has cosplayed as one of her favorite gaming characters, also showing off outfits for characters from League of Legends, and from anime such as Bunny Girl Senpai.
D. Va is a popular character to cosplay as, with fellow Overwatch fans unveiling looks in her regular skin, or in her Lunar New Year outfit, while others have dressed up as Ana or Mei.
