Cursed Destiny 2 champion idea haunts everyone’s nightmares

The brightest amongst the Destiny 2 community have proposed a variety of potential new champions to challenge Guardians, with one idea being so cursed it was deemed too evil for Bungie’s looter shooter.

Champions are an important part of what makes PvE so difficult at times. Most notably, they play a crucial role in high-level Nightfalls and GMs where teams are challenged to swiftly dispatch them.

Unlike other enemies, champions require specific weapons, abilities, or debuffs to be applied to stun them. In higher content failing to stun a champion will make them practically unkillable as they either rapidly heal themselves or are extremely durable.

Now Destiny 2 players have suggested some new champions with one being so cursed it had the whole community praying Bungie doesn’t get any ideas.

Destiny 2 fans have been discussing on Reddit what new champion Bungie could add if they chose to give each faction a third champion.

Various ideas were thrown around but one proved by far the most cursed: “Overload Shrieker, just to add insult to injury as soon as it starts recovering health it closes up until it’s full.”

The proposal had Guardians imagining the worst: “Oh my f**king god,” “Take it easy, Satan,” and even “Who the hell hurt you so much that you speak this evil into the world,” were some of the responses given.

Shriekers are unique Hive enemies in Destiny 2 that are made up of an energy core protected by a metallic outer shell. They can close their shell to deflect all incoming damage while also possessing a deadly lock-on attack that can down a Guardian in no time, especially in higher difficulties.

An Overload Shrieker would theoretically have a much larger health pool and be able to heal up while protected in its shell. This combination would almost certainly make them Destiny’s hardest champion to defeat.

Some of the other most upvoted proposals for a new champion included Overload Screeb, Barrier Brig, Overload Witch, Unstoppable Wyvern, and Barrier Spider Tank.
