What is the easiest Dungeon to solo in Destiny 2?
BungieCompleting a solo dungeon is one of the most impressive feats in Destiny 2. It takes skill, focus, and an optimized build just to stand a chance, but not all dungeons are equally difficult.
Dungeons have become notoriously hard, with Ghost of the Deep’s massive health pools and Warlord’s Ruin’s brutal encounters being two of the best examples of this. That’s only continued with the addition of Vesper’s Host, which is yet another challenging activity.
They are tough to clear regardless, but dungeons becomes much harder when you go in alone. Solo runs are arduous and require a top-tier loadout and strategy to overcome. Even so, it’s that very challenge that appeals to the most dedicated Guardians looking to prove a point, and this is how all of Destiny’s dungeons rank from hardest to easiest to complete solo.
9. Ghosts of the Deep
- Expansion: Lightfall
- Release Date: May 26, 2023
- Location: New Pacific Arcology, Titan
Ghosts of the Deep is a grueling dungeon flooded with adds that has multiple bosses with several million health. What makes GotD particularly hard is its bosses also have massive shields that force you to use Arbalest, limiting your loadout. There’s no way to make it easy, but you’ll have a much better time if you remain patient and prioritize staying alive over dealing damage.
8. Duality
- Expansion: The Witch Queen
- Release Date: May 27, 2022
- Location: Derelict Leviathan, The Moon
Not only does Duality feature an absurd amount of adds, making it very overwhelming for a solo player, but it’s also set up in a way that physics-based deaths and being knocked off the map are the norm. This makes Duality extremely frustrating and far from the easiest dungeon to solo in Destiny 2, but it does offer a great challenge for those wanting to push themselves to their limits.
7. Vesper’s Host
- Expansion: The Final Shape
- Release Date: October 11, 2024
- Location: Vesper Station, Europa
Destiny 2’s newest dungeon is actually not too difficult for the most part, with the first two encounters being easy enough to solo. However, the final boss is a chore, with The Corrupted Puppeteer having over 15 million health. Even the most efficient DPS rotations aren’t going to make it fast, and just one mistake will force you to start over.
6. Warlord’s Ruin
- Expansion: Lightfall
- Release Date: December 1, 2023
- Location: Windswept Crag, European Dead Zone
Though extremely fun to attempt solo, Warlord’s Ruin is a tricky dungeon with two of its bosses having massive health pools and the room for error being minimal. Its final boss, Hefnd’s Vengeance, is especially hard without a team, as you’ll need to deal damage, jump across platforms, and fight off hordes of enemies to reign victorious.
5. Spire of the Watcher
- Expansion: The Witch Queen
- Release Date: December 9, 2022
- Location: Ares Spire, Mars
Spire of the Watcher isn’t that hard mechanics-wise, but this dungeon is long, with its bosses having a lot of health and DPS phases taking some time to activate. It’s easy to make a small mistake while juggling all of that that loses the entire run. Despite its unforgiving bosses preventing Spire from being one of the easiest dungeons to solo, it’s still worth giving a try for the challenge alone.
4. Prophecy
- Expansion: Shadowkeep
- Release Date: June 9, 2020
- Location: IX Realms
If this was a ranking of the dungeons with the coolest aesthetic, there’s no doubt Prophecy would be top. However, when it comes to difficulty, it is instead a middling dungeon that has become much easier over time thanks to Destiny 2’s evident power creep. Even so, you should still be prepared for a challenge and prioritize playing a build with sustain over raw DPS.
3. Grasp of Avarice
- Expansion: 30th Anniversary Pack
- Release Date: December 7, 2021
- Location: Skywatch, Cosmodrome
Grasp of Avarice is one of the easiest dungeons to solo in Destiny 2 and a solid entry point for those trying to get into solo runs. Its mechanics are fairly forgiving, and it’s possible to take out all of its bosses in just a few phases even when prioritizing survivability over DPS. Just be aware of the infamous Sparrow section, which is known to be a run killer.
2. Pit of Heresy
- Expansion: Shadowkeep
- Release Date: October 29, 2019
- Location: Sorrow’s Harbor, Moon
Pit of Heresy is one of the best entry points for Guardians looking to get into solo runs. The waves of exploding Thralls can be frustrating, especially on flawless runs, but in general, Pit of Heresy is a relatively easy dungeon thanks to its straightforward boss fights and fragile additional enemies. With a bit of practice, you’ll be clearing this legacy dungeon in no time.
1. Shattered Throne
- Expansion: Forsaken
- Release Date: September 25, 2018
- Location: Eleusinia, Ascendant Realm
Shattered Throne is undoubtedly the easiest dungeon to solo in Destiny 2. It does have some tricky platforming sequences, but the boss fights are easy enough, and its mechanics largely come down to just killing stuff. It’s a simple dungeon and the perfect choice for those looking to get into solo runs with no prior experience.
