While fans are ecstatic that Tiana arrived to Disney Dreamlight Valley with the Dappers Delight update, they’re heated about a small change made to the game.

The 12th free update to the beloved Disney farming and life simulator has most players excited to unlock Tiana’s Palace and princess Tiana herself, but fans online aren’t happy about the change to a button input.

One Reddit post sparked a discussion about the glide button changing after the Dappers Delight update. While it used to be the B or Circle buttons, now players can hover on controller by pressing L1 on PlayStation, LB on Xbox, or L on Switch.

The good news is that you can now move the camera while gliding around the Valley, making it a lot easier to see where you’re going. Despite this, the tiny modification has left the fanbase mostly frustrated.

Many of the players who don’t like the new button change wish for the option to change it back. As one fan put it in a reply to the Reddit post, “I actually find that this is more difficult to hold down and causes discomfort in my hand.”

Another response piped up by explaining how they have “mild inflammatory arthritis,” and they weren’t looking forward to how it would react to this update.

Even some commenters gave other options that the developers could switch to: ” I wish they had done the left trigger instead of the left bumper.” They suggested this due to their index finger more naturally resting on the button.

This wasn’t the only button swapping that the update included. Some replies pointed out that the developers “swapped the smart transfer and sort buttons” as well.

Perhaps the outrage incited online from devoted fans will make Gameloft grant players the option to switch the controls back to their preferred choices. Time will only tell, as the Dapper Delights update just arrived on August 21.
