Disney Dreamlight Valley players praise new hidden Scramblecoin feature
Disney / GameloftFollowing The Laugh Floor update, Disney Dreamlight Valley players are thrilled to find a new setting that fixes an annoying issue with the Scramblecoin minigame.
The latest Disney Dreamlight Valley update adds Monsters Inc’s Mike and Sulley to the game, as well as new cosmetic options and changes to Scrooge’s shop.
Beyond that, The Laugh Floor also adds some new settings and quality-of-life features. While most, like the option to change your avatar’s name, were announced ahead of the patch, players have found one useful change regarding the Scramblecoin minigame that is much appreciated.
Disney Dreamlight Valley update lets you turn off Scramblecoin requests
As spotted by Reddit user Saltwater_Heart, Disney Dreamlight Valley players now have the option to enable or disable Scramblecoin requests.
Since the minigame was introduced as part of last year’s A Rift in Time expansion, players have complained that certain characters will follow them around, asking to play. Now, you can turn that off by going to the “Settings” tab, then the “Gameplay” section, where it’s currently the only option.
Reactions to the change, which wasn’t specifically listed in the patch notes, are overwhelmingly positive.
“GOODBYE, SCRAMBLESTALKERS!” cheered one commenter.
“I’m turning that off ASAP!” said another.
Though they can be annoying, as one pointed out, there is a purpose to the Scramblecoin requests: “The ones that stalk you give you extra points when you play them!” For this reason, it’s a good idea to keep it enabled when you want to play and turn it off when you don’t.
It’s a simple change but certainly a welcome one. Now, Disney Dreamlight Valley players won’t be unnecessarily bombarded with Scramblecoin requests or stalked by villagers wanting to play the board game, giving them a bit more power to shape their own gameplay experience.
