Disney Dreamlight Valley players thrilled by major changes coming to Scrooge’s Shop
Disney / GameloftBig changes are coming to Scrooge McDuck’s shop in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s highly-anticipated Update 9, and fans are excited to see their concerns addressed.
Disney Dreamlight Valley players are anxiously awaiting news on Update 9, which is expected to release in the coming weeks.
The game’s first major content drop of 2024 – and the first since the game’s full launch and massive A Rift in Time DLC – Update 9 is expected to add Monsters Inc.’s Mike and Sully to the Valley along with new cosmetics and other features.
While we still don’t know when exactly the update will launch, the latest announcement regarding changes coming to Scrooge McDuck’s Shop has fans excited.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Update 9 will make fan-requested Scrooge Shop changes
The developers coyly teased the changes in a poll posted to Twitter asking players which shop change they’d like to see: improved stock rotation, doors, or an increased catalog limit.
Just two hours later, the devs announced all three would actually be implemented in Dreamlight Valley’s next update. On top of those, there will be “more pedestals to purchase from,” indicating the Shop will increase the number of items it stocks each day.
Scrooge McDuck’s store has long been a point of frustration for Dreamlight Valley players. Many have complained that, even when fully upgraded, the Shop doesn’t feature enough options and often offers things you already own. That feeling has only grown as time goes on, with some players threatening to leave the game over it.
The changes announced for Update 9 are ones players have been requesting for a while, leading some to express their excitement online.
“About time my boy Scrooge ups his game to prove he’s the richest duck in the world!!” said one Reddit user.
For many, the changes announced are a signal that Disney Dreamlight Valley’s developers are paying attention to fan feedback.
One commenter said, “My faith in the game can be restored,” while another simply said, “They listened!”
