Disney Dreamlight Valley players warned against buying “scam” item
Disney / GameloftDisney Dreamlight Valley players have rallied to warn fans to avoid buying one Premium Shop item after labeling it a misleading “scam.”
The Disney Dreamlight Valley Premium Shop is a perfect place to grab a few adorable items, whether they’re new homes, tool skins, clothes, or even furniture. However, they do cost Moonstones, so players often need to be careful with what they choose to purchase, given the Moonstones cost out-of-game money.
However, one item in the shop has caused community uproar, with fans warning other players to avoid buying one “scam” item after feeling incredibly misled by its advertised size.
Disney Dreamlight Valley fans call for refunds for “scam” item
“What is this wings” posted one user on the Disney Dreamlight Valley Reddit. They went on to say how they were a “bit sad I spent my moonstone on this.”
Attached to the post was an image of the ‘Small Pink Wings’ which are in the store for 1,750 Moonstones, so roughly just over $4.99. As many spotted, the wings do highlight that they’re small, but players were not prepared to see quite how small they would look on the avatar.
Interestingly, when shopping in the Premium Store, the items aren’t presented on a mannequin and you can’t preview the item before you buy, leading to quite a lot of players feeling misled in this occasion.
“They should have showed just how small they are in preview and for the number of moonstones and how little you can see them for photos, they’re too expensive” commented one user, slamming the price for how little you get for it.
Others felt like the whole thing was a “scam” with one user commenting: “I feel bamboozled! What a scam” while another called for a refund on their item: “This is refund worthy, what a joke. They’d be pretty at normal size.”
It’s clear fans were not expecting the items to be quite that small and many are warning players to prepare for their size before handing over 1,750 Moonstones for the wings.
