DDV Bamboo

Bamboo is a versatile and important resource in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but players may have trouble tracking it down.

The game’s first paid expansion, A Rift in Time, introduced a variety of new materials and ingredients players can find while exploring Eternity Isle, including Bamboo.

In addition to being used in both cooking and crafting recipes, Bamboo is necessary for completing certain quests, such as the questline that lets you unlock Jafar as a Villager. So, for anyone struggling to find it, here’s how to get and use Bamboo.

As mentioned, Bamboo is Eternity Isle-exclusive, so you’ll need the DLC to obtain it.

Fortunately for those with A Rift in Time, Bamboo isn’t too hard to find. Simply head to any section of the Wild Tangle – The Grasslands, The Grove, The Promenade, or The Lagoon – and forage it. Just look for the tall green stems growing around the biome.

To get the most out of your Bamboo search, be sure to hang out with a Villager who has the Foraging role as they’ll increase how much Bamboo you get each time you pick it.

What can you use Bamboo for?

Bamboo is special in that it can be used both for cooking and crafting.

Two recipes require Bamboo: Braised Bamboo Shoots and Piquant Piranha Soup. Additionally, since its considered a vegetable, you can use it in any recipe that does not require a specific type of vegetable, such as Veggie Pasta and Cheeseburger.

Bamboo is also needed for various crafting recipes like the Tropical Companion Home, which is necessary to complete Rapunzel’s The Housewarming friendship quest, and the Bamboo Bench.
