Terrika Currence of Henry County, Georgia, recently caught her Amazon delivery driver attempting to steal her dog from her front yard.
When Currence’s daughter noticed what was going on, she yelled for their dog to be saved.
Fortunately, Currence was able to recover her dog from the back of the driver’s truck. The Amazon driver has since been fired.
Amazon driver says he took the dog because it was “pretty”
As Currence was opening the door to her home to put her Amazon package away, she heard her daughter scream, “The Amazon guy stole our puppy!”
Shocked, Currence told WSB-TV that she immediately dropped her package and rushed to confront the driver.
She then opened the door to the back of the driver’s Amazon truck. When Currence saw her dog sitting inside a bin, she could be heard saying in a personal recording, “F*cking Amazon done took my f*cking dog out of my f*cking yard!”
Currence also told the news outlet that had she not approached the driver at that moment, they would have driven off with her dog.
Though the dog was safely retrieved, Currence admitted she has a fear that every time a delivery driver comes to the house now, her daughter will be scared of their dog being taken.
As for the Amazon delivery driver, they were fired from their job after Currence reported the issue. The driver has since told Atlanta News First that they were going to take the dog because “the dog was pretty” and they would “love” to have a puppy.
