Popular streamer Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa has been banned from Twitch after she revealed too much of herself during a live broadcast.

Update, September 12, 07:42 AM EST: Amouranth has now been unbanned from Twitch, indicating her ban length was three-days for the community guideline violation.

Boasting nearly 1.2 million followers on Twitch, Amouranth is one of the most successful streamers on the platform, with most of her content focused around the IRL section, such as eyebrow-raising streams and cosplays.

She’s toed the line with the streaming website’s Terms of Service on a few occasions, but one major slip-up has finally caused the ban hammer to drop.

During a September 8 stream, Amouranth was playing casually with her dog and chatting to her viewers, and all seemed fine until a major wardrobe malfunction struck like lightning.

As she was rolling over, she unknowingly exposed herself multiple times, leading her viewers to flood the chat with messages and warnings.

Amouranth was playing with her dog on stream when she exposed herself.

That moment was captured and turned into a clip, and despite the fact that it was doing massive rounds on Reddit and other social platforms following her stream, it took Twitch admins almost 12 hours to suspend and shut down her account.

Twitch’s Community Guidelines state that sexually explicit and suggestive content is prohibited on the platform, as well as wearing attire that is “intended to be sexually suggestive.”

As is usually the case with these suspensions, no one knows exactly how long they are for, although the usually don’t end up lasting for more than 30 days.

Similar incidents have drawn long-term bans for appearing nude on stream. Twitch partner ‘BadBunny’ was suspended for three days after exposing herself on stream in April, while overnight Korean Twitch streamer ‘Addielyn’ apologised to her fans after starting her stream preemptively while naked.

Amouranth is a controversial figure on Twitch due to the nature of her streams.

Amouranth had an average viewer count of 2,000 during the month of August, according to stats site TwitchTracker. She also had over a million followers at the time she was banned, and she has a suspected 8,000 subscribers.

Her followership on other sites is large as well. She has just under 800 patreons, who subscribe for her regular and adult cosplays, while her Twitter page has 227,300 followers.

Amouranth is a popular figure on Twitch.

Neither Twitch or Amouranth has released a statement about the incident yet.
