Charli D’Amelio reveals what her dream job is after TikTok
YouTube: Entertainment TonightTikTok superstar Charli D’Amelio says she got to experience her lifelong dream at the Superbowl LIV, as she danced with Jennifer Lopez, and revealed it’s her dream job in the future too.
D’Amelio, who boasts over 23 million followers on TikTok and growing fast, is best known for her dancing videos. Her fame was cemented as she appeared alongside a host of other celebrities in a Superbowl commercial.
But her involvement at the Superbowl didn’t end there, as even more exciting for the 15-year-old was the chance to fulfill one of her biggest dreams; dancing with J-Lo.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Charli explains that her viral video of dancing with J-Lo, doing the ‘JLoSuperbowlChallenge’ was the culmination of her plan to finally meet her idol.
The video amassed 4 million likes on her channel, and although she actually forgot the moves at first due to nerves, she quickly caught back up with the professionals.
When asked what her dream job is, D’Amelio said. “I obviously want to be a dancer in some way, because that’s been my dream forever, dancing with J-Lo, doing something similar to what J-Lo does, maybe. There are so many opportunities that are being presented to me right now, I just want to try everything and see what works.”
Whatever she plans on doing, her massive following on TikTok has already ensured her something to fall back on. The app itself has gone from strength to strength after it took over from Musical.ly.
She’s not yet the most followed account on the platform – that title goes to Loren Gray with over 38 million – but at the rate she is gaining new followers, Charli is set to take that number one spot.
In 30 days between January 6 and February 5, Charli D’Amelio has gained a whopping 7.3 million followers on TikTok, the fastest on the platform. Her sister, Dixie, is also TikTok famous, with 9 million followers of her own.
This rapidly increasing popularity is providing her opportunities such as that at the Superbowl, and it sounds like there is a lot more in the pipeline to come. At only 15, the future is very bright for this dance fanatic and social media starlet.
