David Dobrik has addressed a bizarre rumor circulating about the contents of his first vlog back following a lengthy YouTube hiatus.

Due to the ongoing global health crisis, Dobrik has refrained from posting his regular short-form vlogs to YouTube, instead planning on making a return when things get back to normal.

While he’s still been regularly posting to Instagram and TikTok, his YouTube videos are where Dobrik really built his legion of fans and, as such, with him now being inactive on the platform for several months, rumors have started to spread.

In the latest episode of his podcast, VIEWS, Dobrik has responded to one of the more popular rumors circulating about him.

Dobrik has been one of the biggest YouTube sensations of the last few years thanks to his vlogs.

The subject was broached by friend and comedian Jason Nash, who said that a fan had approached him asking about “the hour” that David supposedly has coming.

He went on to specify that the fan shared with him that the rumor was David has an hour-long vlog ready to go of all the footage he’s got from the past few months, with the plan to condense it all into one video.

Dobrik immediately bursts into laughter, confirming that there’s no chance of that happening, and even says that “if he put together everything shot, I would probably have a minute, a minute and 20 seconds of the last eight months.”

The YouTube star then explained why he just doesn’t have that much footage from the last few months.

“A lot less fun things happen when you’re not seeking them out,” he said. “It’s not like a tiger just walks in here by himself and says ‘hey, can I vlog with you?’ You got to get that sh*t here.”

So, if you’re one of the people who has been told than an hour-long David Dobrik vlog is coming, you’ve unfortunately been lied to and, if anything, we would be lucky to see any vlog content from the last few months.
