Reported by WESH2 news, police are searching for the man accused of attacking his friend with a sword. The 35-year-old being accused has apparently become homeless recently, and police are trying to find him.
They shared a 911 call from an apparent neighbor who said: “I was walking out of my apartment, and this guy came over to me, and he said someone just got stabbed in the apartment he just came out of.”
A Daytona Beach police officer says that the accused man went over to hang out with a friend and asked to have his Xbox. However, once the friend said no — he got upset and swung the sword.
“Police said the victim was screaming when he walked out of the apartment. According to court documents, one neighbor heard the commotion and saw the victim covered in blood. He immediately called the police, and the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life- threatening injuries,” said the news publication.
The victim reportedly had cuts on his face and shoulder and was struck in the head.
