Twitch streamer Invadervie reveals how she “creeps” on fans’ IRL profiles
Invadervie, TwitchNoted Twitch star “Invadervie” admitted to scouring the online profiles of her regular contributors, leading to some interesting results concerning the demographics of her viewer base.
It’s no secret that many online personalities cater to specific audiences, from YouTube beauty gurus to professional gamers and even cosplayers — but while these categories might appear to have obvious viewer types, Invadervie’s audience boasts a surprising majority.
Invadervie is a popular face on Twitch, known for her Just Chatting streams and humorous interactions with fans in her chat.
However, many of these fans aren’t who you’d expect, as she admitted in a broadcast on January 21.
According to the streamer, much of her audience is made up of adult men in relationships, many of whom work in technology fields.
“I only really keep track of the people who support me,” she revealed. “The people who support me are usually men in relationships or actively dating, between the ages of I think 25 to maybe 42. They usually work in tech. A lot of engineers are in here right now. It’s really crazy.”
To find this information, she admitted to scouring the Linkedin and social media accounts of those who donate to her stream via PayPal, claiming that she Googles their names to learn more about exactly who is supporting her content.
“When you guys dono to me, it tells me your name that is attached to your PayPal,” she explained. “If your name is attached to your PayPal, and you dono to me, I look you up on Google. I Google each and every one of your names, and I creep your Linkedins.”
She didn’t pass up an opportunity to roast these donators, either, after a fan asked her for her audience’s average “maturity level.”
“Oh, did you not know that men reach peak maturity exactly three months after death?” she replied.
Although it’s generally a good idea to keep tabs on one’s target audience, the demographics of Invadervie’s regular donators may not reflect those from her average viewers — but rest assured, she isn’t slacking on putting a face to the name of fans who support her cause.
