Jake Paul boxing record: All opponents & fight results so far
YouTuber Jake Paul AKA ‘The Problem Child’ shocked fans when he decided to become a pro boxer, and he’s proven himself with a few wins already. Here’s Jake Paul’s boxing record and a list of everyone he’s fought thus far.
Jake Paul is arguably the face of influencer boxing, although he didn’t start the trend — that credit goes to his older brother, Logan Paul, as well as KSI and Joe Weller — he’s taken the proverbial bull by the horns to become one of the craze’s most prolific athletes.
So as ‘The Problem Child’ is currently preparing for his next boxing match, here’s a comprehensive list of everyone Jake has boxed thus far, including opponents he almost faced off with but didn’t get the chance to meet in the ring, and his comprehensive boxing record.
Jake Paul’s boxing record: 2024
Jake Paul’s boxing record is 11-1, excluding his amateur bout against Deji in 2018, which he also won. His only defeat came against Tommy Fury in February 2023 via a split decision. Including Deji in his record, he has 12 wins and 1 defeat.
Jake has secured six victories by KO, as well as winning one by split decision and two by unanimous decision.
Now, let’s look at each fight on his record and how it played out…
Jake Paul’s full fight history
Deji, 2018
Before the YouTuber seriously took up his boxing mantle, he faced off with Deji, the little brother of British YouTuber and rapper KSI.
The two made their boxing debut on the undercard of KSI vs Logan Paul 1 back in 2018. Although Jake Paul got quite the bloody nose from the encounter, he ultimately defeated Deji — and subsequently sparked his current hunger for taking on the biggest and toughest names in combat sports.
Jake Paul won the match by referee stoppage in the fifth round.
AnEsonGib, 2020
Jake Paul would cement his status as an influencer-boxer with his next bout against British YouTube star AnEsonGib in 2020.
This match was an easy one for the Problem Child, who knocked out his opponent cold in the very first round, giving him an ego boost that followed him into his next fight against Nate Robinson.
Nate Robinson, 2020
Jake Paul would make a major leap in his boxing career with his bout against NBA star Nate Robinson. A high-profile match between the basketball pro and the budding YouTuber and boxer, this fight drew interested eyes across the net — partly because it happened on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr.
Paul managed to wear Robinson down near the end of the first round, but finally got the knockout in the second round.
Ben Askren, 2021
Paul upped the ante on his next opponent, former Olympic mixed martial artist Ben Askren. This marked Jake’s first foray into a fight with a pro fighter, retired or not — and it set him up for another major win on his record.
Paul knocked out Askren in the first round of their April 2021 bout. According to Jake, the fight allegedly generated $65 million.
Tyron Woodley 1, 2021
Jake’s next biggest challenge would be his bout against former five-time UFC champ Tyron Woodley. This fight had all kinds of trash-talk leading up to clash night — including a hilarious bet between the two opponents that would have Woodley getting ‘I love Jake Paul’ tattooed on himself if he lost.
Although it’s uncertain if Woodley actually kept his promise, Jake ended up taking yet another victory over the seasoned combat sports vet, winning the bout by split decision after going the full eight rounds.
Paul, however, wasn’t pleased with the commission’s ruling and wanted his knockout… which he got in their eventual rematch.
Tyron Woodley 2, 2021
Initially, Jake was scheduled to take his next fight against British boxer and reality TV star Tommy Fury, but a last-minute injury caused the Brit to bow out.
As a last resort, Paul secured a rematch against Fury; and in December 2021, he got his long-awaited KO, knocking Woodley out in the sixth round to finally settle the score.
Anderson Silva, 2022
In October 2022, Jake Paul had the biggest fight of his career thus far — stepping into the ring with Brazilian MMA star Anderson Silva was a high point of Jake Paul’s boxing record for some time.
While ‘The Problem Child’ predicted he’d finish the fight by stoppage before the end of the fifth round, 47-year-old Silva managed to keep up and take it the distance.
The decision went to the officials after eight intense rounds — with Jake ultimately taking the win by unanimous decision.
Jake Paul’s first defeat: Tommy Fury, 2023
After multiple delays and issues, Jake Paul finally stepped into the ring against Tommy Fury in February of 2023. Paul had nearly fought Tommy Fury twice prior to the actual fight. However, when the two did finally step in the ring together, Jake was served his first loss in his boxing career.
Judges awarded Fury victory via scorecards, with a 74-75 for Paul and 2x 76-73 for Fury, resulting in an overall victory for the former Love Island star. After taking the loss against Fury, Paul’s rematch clause has come into effect, meaning the boxers will see a rematch sometime down the line.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on when the two decide to jump back into the ring together for a second brawl.
Nate Diaz, 2023
Jake Paul battled with former UFC contender Nate Diaz on August 5, 2023, in a ten-round pro boxing match in Dallas, Texas. He showcased considerable improvements to his boxing, particularly his left hook.
Paul came out firing and looked as though he could secure a first-round knockout after swarming Diaz with strong punches. However, the crafty MMA veteran survived the onslaught and made it through the opening stages.
In round five, Paul knocked Diaz down with a powerful left hook, delivering the best punch of the night. By this point, Paul was well in front on the scorecards and just needed to last the distance. He did just that — even when Diaz eventually turned it on in the final stages of the fight.
In the end, Paul celebrated a hard-fought victory that helped re-establish his career as a professional boxer following his defeat against Tommy Fury earlier in 2023. He won via unanimous decision (97-92, 98-91, 98-91).
Andre August, 2023
Off the back of his bout with Diaz, ‘The Problem Child’ went up against 10-1 professional boxer Andre August for one of the toughest fights in his career on December 15.
However, Paul ended up facing the challenge with ease, defeating his opponent by KO in the very first round, sending August to the floor.
Ryan Bourland, 2024
Continuing on his path to becoming “boxing world champion”, Jake Paul took on former Gold Gloves champion Ryan Bourland on March 2 for his first fight of 2024 as the co-main event of Amanda Serrano vs Nina Meinke.
The veteran cruiserweight held an impressive 17-2 professional record heading into the fight but was still no match for the YouTuber, who added another TKO to his record with a first-round stoppage after absolutely smashing Bourland.
Hasim Rahman Jr.
After Tommy Fury bowed out of their August 2022 bout, Paul was forced to look for another opponent, instead — and settled on pro boxer Hasim Rahman Jr., the son of an established heavyweight champ.
Unfortunately, this fight was also canceled after Hasim allegedly planned to weigh in ten pounds below the 215 lb Cruiserweight class. Paul lashed out at Hasim for not keeping to the terms of their arrangement, while the opponent claimed he could make weight in time and urged Paul to “put on the gloves.”
Mike Perry, 2024
The Problem Child took on Mike Perry on July 20, following the collapse of his bout with Mike Tyson due to an ulcer flare up.
“When Paul vs. Tyson was rescheduled, I knew immediately that I wanted to still fight on Saturday, July 20,” Jake Paul said, announcing the fight. “Now, as I prepare for my fight against Iron Mike, there’s no better opponent for me than Mike Perry.”
Paul ultimately won the match in six rounds via a TKO, Perry struggling to hold up a defense against the young boxer. He fell a total of three times throughout, with Paul’s hard-hitting jabs leaving the 32-year-old bloodied.
Mike Tyson, 2024
Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson via unanimous decision on November 15, 2024. After months of anticipation, the biggest night of Paul’s career finally came to fruition, though it wasn’t quite the spectacular affair many had hoped for.
Despite promising another flashy KO, Paul outstruck Iron Mike for eight two-minute rounds in a relatively uneventful contest.
There’s no telling for certain what may come next, but Canelo is a name Paul has had in mind for a number of years now, so perhaps it’s time that matchup comes into the spotlight.
Though it’s late in 2024 at this point, there are still influencer boxing matches happening this year and going into 2025. Be sure to check out our hub right here on Dexerto to stay tuned to all the best fights.
