KSI offers Logan Paul a new date and rules for rematch
YouTuber Olajide “KSI” Olatunji hinted at a possible future date for his rematch with social media star Logan Paul in an Instagram post – where he also laid out suggestions for new rules.
The Instagram post in question was a short video containing clips from their initial match on August 25.
KSI captioned the post, “Rematch next year, June? Eight rounds this time, so the bell can’t save you. 😈”
KSI’s suggestion of eight rounds pokes fun at Paul’s apparent lack of stamina toward the end of their August 25 fight, which featured 6 rounds in total.
While Paul hasn’t made an official response to KSI’s callout, he posted a telling picture of himself on Instagram next to the Roman colosseum, with the caption, “Possible venue for the next fight? 😏🥊”
KSI’s suggestion for June 8 lines up with a previous statement made by his boxing trainer, who revealed that organizers were looking for a date in April or May of 2019.
While Paul’s post could hint at another European venue, a leaked contract of the event revealed their bout to be a two-fight deal, with the first fight taking place in the UK and the second to be held in the U.S.
However, the contract likewise set the YouTubers’ second fight for February of 2019, which doesn’t appear to be holding true thus far.
While their fight ended in a draw, adding an extra two rounds could provide a more climactic ending to the rivals’ well-documented beef.
