Logan Paul hits back at Dana White for saying he would “get murdered” in the UFC
UFC President Dana White responded to a reporter’s question on Logan Paul potentially joining the organization with high criticism.
White appeared to have very little faith in Paul’s abilities in the octagon, stating that he would “get murdered” and “hurt badly” in the UFC.
White also said that he should be arrested if he ever let Paul into the org, sarcastically citing fans’ criticisms that he allowed CM Punk a fighting chance.
Logan Paul didn’t take too kindly to Dana’s sentiments. He responded to White’s comments in a Tweet, where he wrote that White was “thinking real simple.”
He also reiterated White’s induction of Punk into the UFC, and accused him of putting on a show for those taking note of his performance.
“Stop acting like you do it for the sport,” he wrote. “Paycheck = fight. You have no idea what I’m capable of.”
However, Dana didn’t completely write off Paul’s skill. He made sure to congratulate the YouTuber’s business-savviness, referencing the amount of money he and KSI made through YouTube’s pay-per-view stream of their boxing match.
“No hate for the kid, good for him,” Dana said. “Look at the business that guy has built on YouTube and the number of pay-er-views they did.”
That didn’t sway his decision, though, which appears to be final. He ended the interview by reiterating his feelings on the matter, stating that Paul would get seriously injured if he began a career in the org.
Paul has expressed an acute interest in potentially fighting within the UFC. With such a finalized statement by the organization’s president, it could appear as though his dreams have been squashed – for now.
