MMA star Nate Diaz has hinted at potentially fighting Jake Paul in the near future as he’s called upon the UFC to release him from his contract if they’re not giving him fights.

In his short time being involved in the world of boxing, Jake Paul has called out plenty of big-name fighters and been involved in many subsequent wars of words with those targets.

It’s not just boxers, though, that he’s been calling out. He constantly trades verbal jabs with Conor McGregor and Dillon Danis, and there has been the idea of himself and Logan fighting Nate and Nick Diaz on some sort of super card.

While that hasn’t come to fruition just yet, it seems as if Nate is intent on getting his hands on Jake at some point, especially as he’s still locked in a contract dispute with the UFC.

Jake Paul is currently 5-0 in his boxing career.

The Stockton native hasn’t fought inside the Octagon since June of 2021, but he’s been itching to get back into action as he’s repeatedly called on the UFC to give him another fight.

As that doesn’t look like happening, Diaz has seemingly turned his attention to fighting Jake – or at least using the social media star to get UFC’s attention.

On June 21, he tweeted a video of Jake knocking out Tyron Woodley in their second fight and called on the UFC to let him out of his contract. “UFC release now please or give me a fight with anyone in July or August. I have bigger sh*t to do,” he said.

With Nate mentioning August, it didn’t take long for some replies to suggest that he wants to be a part of Jake’s return to action on August 6.

While Jake has got a fight date sorted, he hasn’t announced an opponent. Could it be Nate, if it isn’t Tommy Fury? We’ll just have to wait and see.
