Ninja Wants a Change Made to Twitter to Make Following Easier
Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has a suggestion for Twitter that would make it easier to follow someone based on a single tweet.
The popular Fortnite streamer has almost 3 million followers of his own on Twitter, but finds following others a little too difficult right now.
His suggestion is to make better use of the drop down arrow in the top corner of a tweet, which features options like ‘Share Via” and bookmarks, but has no option to follow the author of that tweet.
There needs to be a “follow” button/option to make it easier to follow people from a specific tweet. @Twitter the reply, retweet, and favorite are obvious. But the “share via… or save to book marks” being an option on the tweet and not a “follow this person” is weird to me.

Others were quick to point out that a follow button is displayed on desktop, but Ninja was referring to mobile specifically.
In order to follow someone on a mobile version of Twitter, you need to click through to their profile from the tweet, where you can find the follow button.
Ninja’s idea would remove the profile step, bringing it more in line with the desktop browser version of Twitter.

Ninja has over 256 million views on Twitch and has the most subscribers on the platform at over 100,000.
He was recently invited to the ESPY’s, an awards show that honors the world of sports, where he played Fortnite with NFL player David Bakhtiari.
Do you agree with Ninja’s proposed changes to the way a follow happens on Twitter, or do you prefer having to look at a profile first anyway?
