Multiple reports have revealed that the first Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer is set to debut at Brazil Comic Con on Saturday, December 8, with online release following shortly after.

The reports come shortly after the release of the latest trailer for Captain Marvel on December 3, with the first trailer for The Avengers 4 also expected on December 7.

Warning: this article may contain spoilers regarding cast, characters, and potential plot details for Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Spider-Man: Far From Home details

Spider-Man: Far From Home is the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first solo outing for Tom Holland’s version of the character.

Though this is Sony’s third take on Spider-Man, with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield having previously portrayed the webslinger in the Spider-Man trilogy and The Amazing Spider-Man respectively, the current Spider-Man is the first to be included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Before Far From Home, Spider-Man is expected to appear in the as-yet untitled Avengers 4, which will conclude the events of Infinity War. Avengers 4 is set to release on May 3, 2019, and the first trailer for the film is expected to arrive before that of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Spider-Man most recently appeared in Avengers: Infinity War

Who will appear in Spider-Man: Far From Home?

The main characters from Homecoming will all return, with Tom Holland of course reprising his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya returning as Michelle Jones, and Jacob Batalon returning as Ned, while Marissa Tomei will also return as May Parker.

The film’s main villain seems set to be Mysterio, who will be portrayed by Jake Gyllenhaal, although no details have been revealed regarding how his story will develop.

Far From Home is also set to feature appearances by Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders, who will reprise their roles as Nick Fury and Maria Hill respectively.

Release Date

Spider-Man: Far From Home is slated for release on July 5, 2019. It will be the third MCU film of the year, with Captain Marvel releasing on March 8 and Avengers 4 on May 3.
