TikToker Ophelia Nichols appeals for information following son’s murder
TikTok: shoelover99TikToker Ophelia Nichols has appealed for information after her 18-year-old son was shot and killed in Alabama, leading to an outpouring of support from her followers.
On June 25, TikToker Ophelia Nichols a.k.a. shoelover99 uploaded a video to the app in which she informed her seven million followers that her son, Randon, was killed the night prior.
“I have never asked y’all for anything, but I need your help with this. There are almost seven million people that follow me, somebody’s got to know something,” she said.
According to FOX10, the incident happened on St. Stephens Road, in Prichard, Alabama, where 18-year-old Randon was, “shot at the Exxon before driving across the street near the Energizer gas station — where he died from his injuries.”
The TikToker added: “My son was murdered. He was shot. And I have this hatred in my heart that I don’t recognize. Cause I’ve never felt hate for anybody. This individual took my son’s life. He was 18 years old, that’s the best part of somebody’s life.”

“You will be found!” Ophelia wrote in the caption of the video. “You will reap what you sow in this world. You may not be caught now but it’s coming. I hope you see my son’s face every day of your life.”
Shortly after, she updated followers with a comment in which she added: “Just been told we have a lead on 2 individuals. I hope they see this video & know what they have done to my family.”
Ophelia’s heartbreaking situation has prompted an outpouring of support from followers and strangers alike, with the GoFundMe page for the family reaching over $170,000 so far.
