Halloween is on the horizon, and that means that folks are gearing up to celebrate the day with their favorite costumes.
From supernatural creatures to movie characters and even celebrities, people all over the globe are getting ready to step out on October 31 for some good old-fashioned trick-or-treating in style.
However, one celebrity is facing major backlash over her choice of costume after viewers found the outfit “racist.”

Trisha Paytas is an OG YouTuber, podcast host, and OnlyFans creator. Paytas has been making content for well over a decade now (since 2007, to be exact), and during this time, she’s seen her fair share of drama.
Following the birth of her daughter, Malibu Barbie (yes, that’s the kiddo’s real name), Paytas started up her new podcast ‘Just Trish,’ where she dishes on current events and hot goss with her fellow creators.
While fans are loving the revamped podcast, some weren’t too happy with her choice of Halloween Costume. This year, Trish is dressing up as American rapper Ice Spice — and not everyone is here for it.

Trish uploaded some pics of the costume to Instagram on October 17, showing herself decked out in a curly red wig and an all-pink outfit reminiscent of the rapper’s music video fit for her song ‘Princess Diana’ with Nicki Minaj.
At first, Trish was besieged with comments claiming that the costume was “racist,” with some viewers even accusing the YouTuber of “blackface” for dressing up as a woman of color.
“White person to white person — Trisha you can’t be doing this,” one user wrote.
“Ummmmm blackface?” another asked.
However, others have since stepped up to defend Trisha from these accusations, with a slew of commenters supporting her outfit following the backlash.
“I hate when people mean well, but don’t know what they’re talking about,” one user wrote. “This is not blackface, in fact, this is what black people ask of non-black people. Relay the person’s likeness without darkening the skin/trying to appear black.”
Even Ice Spice herself shouted out Trisha’s costume in her Instagram stories, saying that the YouTuber “ate” up her outfit.
That’s far from the only costume Trisha has donned for the season, though. Just recently, she and fellow influencer Tana Mongeau dressed up as fembots from Austin Powers in an October 22 podcast episode.
