A video of a 70-year-old Uber driver has gone viral after the passenger ended up ditching his Airbnb destination to instead get a free guided city tour of Buffalo, New York from his driver.

Uber rides have spawned a whole heap of viral content thanks to clips from drivers and customers regularly being posted across social media.

Whether it be a driver being exposed for drinking their customer’s order, or more touching moments of a driver comforting their grieving passenger, they often send the internet into a frenzy.

Now, one Uber driver has gone viral after the passenger arrived at their Airbnb location, where they instead got back in and took up the 70-year-old driver’s offer of a free guided city tour.

The Uber passenger, Cam, visited Buffalo, New York to attend the upcoming NFL Wild Card Round playoffs game. He was in the area to support his team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, as they take on the Buffalo Bills.

However, he revealed: “Best part of my trip” was when he ditched his Airbnb for a free guided city tour. “My Uber driver is like 70+. His wife passed 2 years ago & he said he drives to make the days go by fast.

“Goes to drop me off at my Airbnb. I get out & he goes ‘what’re you doing for the day? I’m done driving & could give you a tour of the city.’ Humanity.”

The short video shows the 70-year-old man driving him around the local tourist and historical attractions of the area. His new tour guide can be heard saying: “There are more columns in this building than any other, except for The White House.”

The clip soon went viral and at the time of writing has over 3.5 million views, where it is quickly heading towards over 100 thousand likes.
