PM meaning on Snapchat

On Snapchat, PM usually stands for ‘Private Message.’ This feature allows users to send direct and private messages to each other, separate from their public stories or snaps. When you send a PM to someone on a social media app, it’s a one-to-one conversation between you and the recipient.

Of course, there are many ways to use this acronym. For example, if a friend shares a public story about going through a tough time, you might send them a snap saying, “I’m here for you. PM me if you need to talk.” This offers a private space for more personal and sensitive conversations.

Alternatively, if you’re organizing an event or a meetup and don’t want to share the details publicly, you might post a story saying, “Party at my place this Saturday! PM me for the address.”

While it’s commonly found on Snapchat, this term is by no means exclusive to the app, and you might see it across other platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, WhatsApp, and more.
