TikTok: kalanihilliker / iwannabegiselleTikTokers are showing off their gymnastic skills with the ‘321 Bang’ handstand challenge that sees them using a wall to perform an impressive move. Here’s everything you need to know about the trend.
Challenges form a huge portion of the content that’s on TikTok, and whether they’re trending dances or games you can play with friends, such as the popular tortilla slap challenge, there’s something out there for everyone.
One viral challenge that’s been blowing up on TikTok throughout June, is the ‘321 Bang’ handstand challenge.
As the name suggests, this involves users attempting to perform a handstand trick alongside a TikTok sound of the words “3, 2, 1, Bang,” performing a new step of the move for every new word.
They start by putting one foot high on a wall, twisting around, and then planting their hands in front of their other foot that’s still on the ground. On the word, “bang,” they take the leg that’s on the ground and swing it over their heads, getting them into a handstand split position.

Viewers have been impressed by people’s attempts at the challenge, with some videos featuring the trick garnering millions of likes and views. However, many users are convinced that the handstand is harder than some TikTokers are making it look.
“My toxic trait is I’m convinced I can do this,” one comment with over 3000 likes read, another saying: “How is everyone doing splits? Y’all knew how to do splits before?”
Some users went equally viral for their failed attempts at the trend, with some finding the process of getting into the handstand split a tad confusing.

TikTok sensation Addison Rae went viral recently for her impressive take on another handstand challenge on the app, picking up over 5 million likes.
