Woman kicked out of church indefinitely after separating from husband

When Brooke initiated a separation from her husband, the church she was a part of sent her a letter stating they would no longer be allowing her to be a member.
Not only that, but the church refunded Brooke the $500 donation she made.
To top it off, the church went as far as saying that she wasn’t “in a very good place right now.”
Church says woman is in ‘denial’ of her needs
Brooke’s church in South Carolina was so offended by her separation, that they sent her a detailed letter about all the reasons why she was being terminated from the community.
In the letter, the church said Brooke was being unfaithful to the vow she took before God when she married her husband.
They were also distraught over Brooke not wanting to keep her family together, as she was leaving her husband for another man.
Not only that, but the church also called Brooke out for sharing “un-Christian” posts on her social media, prompting them to say her posts and messages were “indecent.”
The church then proceeded to say Brooke was disrespectful to the community, “You have also been very negative and critical of many of our church family, I believe, to try and take the attention off of your real needs, which you deny.”
Those who have heard of Brooke’s story have commented, saying that despite feeling sorry for her, the church has its right to hold people accountable.
Though the church also noted that Brooke “refused counsel” and “advice” from the Pastor, she, at this time, has not commented on her excommunication or reason for it.
