Marshall ‘Eminem’ Mathers is one of the most iconic musicians of the last three decades, and YouTuber TheRichest has reported how the rapper from Detroit has spent $250 million over the span of his career in their latest video.

Eminem first started to produce music in the late 1980s, but it wasn’t until the release of ‘The Slim Shady LP’ in 1997 that catapulted him to worldwide stardom, becoming the best selling artist in the United States during the 2000s, winning 15 Grammy Awards, and having a legacy as one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time.

With such incredible success comes financial gain too, with the American believed to earn around $20 million a year from royalties, album sales, endorsements, and more. Now, YouTuber TheRichest, who breaks down the lavish lifestyle of the rich and famous, has claimed to reveal how the 47-year-old has spent a whopping $250 million dollars on houses, cars, collectibles, and more.

Eminem is widely regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 21st century.

According to TheRichest, two of the rapper’s biggest outlays have been on properties, buying two luxury mansions in Michigan for a combined total of $6.25 million – a far cry from the tiny homes he lived in during his childhood in Detroit City. The rapper also loves his jewelry, and although he’s often spotted wearing G-Shock watches worth $100, he did splash $7000 on a Rolex Datejust, although he doesn’t wear it often due to a fear of it getting damaged, as well as a Perpetual Calendar Skeleton timepiece worth $120,000.

On top of that, Slim Shady has often been spotted wearing a diamond-encrusted pendant in the shape of the AA logo, estimated to be worth another $100,000, while in 2003 the rapper gave a fan in London a crucifix necklace he was wearing around his neck, which he claims cost him an eye-watering $450,000. His car collection is nothing to sniff at either, with a rare Porsche Carrera GT which sold for $450,000 on release, a 911-GTR 3S at $200,000, and an Aston Martin Vanquish at $150,000.

Some of his most surprising outlays come in the form of arcade games and comic books. The rapper is believed to have spent around $16,000 on retro arcade machines like Donkey Kong and Space Invaders, while also owns legendary Spiderman editions worth over $450,000, a crazy price for a comic book about a teenager who can climb walls.

On top of all that, Eminem owns and operates his own record company, with estimates stating it costs $1 million to start up a business of that size, not including operational costs going forward, and also owns a private jet, which can set you back between $3 to $90 million depending on size, age, and quality.

The rapper has also sent daughter Hailie to Columbia University, and with three daughters, it’s estimated he will spend at least $360,000 on their higher education alone.

The YouTube channel also discusses the on-going costs of his lifestyle, all while maintaining his private jet which to be stored somewhere and maintained by experts, along with the costs of running Shady Records, including staff and the cost of signing acts to the brand. Of course, these numbers don’t all add up to the massive $250 million TheRicher claim he’s spent, but likely go a long way towards the significant amount of money.

Of course, when you’re Eminem, income isn’t a major issue like it is for most, but it’s fascinating to see some of the interesting hobbies the rapper has picked up along the years, some of which fans may not have expected.
