Red Bull announce “record-breaking” new F1 deal
Associated PressReigning Formula 1 constructors’ champions Red Bull have announced a “record-breaking” deal with sportswear brand Castore.
The Milton-Keynes based outfit have officially put pen to paper a “long-term partnership extension” with the British clothing manufacturer.
In a statement on their team website, Red Bull stated that the new agreement is the “largest ever apparel partnership in Formula 1 pertaining to longevity and value.”
Castore teamed up with Red Bull at the beginning of last season, as the two have now agreed on an extension worth more than $200million.
Red Bull’s record-breaking deal
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said: “From the start of our collaboration with Castore last year we knew we had found a partner whose commitment to innovation and advanced engineering matched our own.
“The trust we have in them to deliver performance improvement has only increased over the past 12 months and has led to this record-breaking new agreement.
“We’re also pleased that Castore’s faith in the team has extended to our activities in F1 Academy. That too is a ground-breaking initiative and having Castore on board to help our drivers in that series is a huge bonus.”
Tom Beahon, Co-Founder of Castore added: “We’re thrilled to have expanded our partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing.
“The length of this agreement demonstrates the trust they have in Castore to deliver products that help optimise the performance of the whole team and speaks to our commitment to Oracle Red Bull Racing’s goals to continue their charge to more wins and titles.”
Castore’s Sporting Partnerships
Red Bull are not the only F1 team that Castore sponsor, as they also have a partnership with McLaren. And further afield they are by no means strangers to the world of elite sport.
The clothing brand’s partnerships include: England Cricket, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Rangers amongst others.
They also have a wealth of sporting stars as brand ambassadors, such as: Wimbledon champion Andy Murray; three-time Olympic gold medalist Adam Peaty and England Rugby international Owen Farrell.
