James Maddison builds star-studded FIFA 20 Ultimate Team
James Maddison, Instagram / EALeicester City’s rising star James Maddison might be playing his football in one of England’s most exciting young teams, but there’s no lack of experience in his FIFA 20 Ultimate Team.
The creative midfielder has been enjoying a successful Premier League campaign so far, as part of the Foxes’ formidable midfield three, joined by Youri Tielemans and Wilfred Ndidi.
When given the option to pick any player in the world to buy, from past or present, though, Maddison decided to opt for a very different combination in the middle of the park – in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team.
A Reddit user appears to have spotted the 23-year-old reveal the team he’s assembled in EA SPORTS’ popular game mode, opting for a 4-2-3-1 formation, but are any of his Leicester teammates included?
Well, let’s take a look at how it shapes up – according to the post from simonk420.
Maddison’s FIFA 20 Ultimate Team
- GK: Alisson Becker
- RB: Kyle Walker
- CB: Paolo Maldini
- CB: Virgil van Dijk
- LB: Roberto Carlos
- CDM: Ruud Gullit
- CDM: N’Golo Kante
- CAM: James Maddison
- CAM: Ronaldo (R9)
- CAM: Pele
- ST: Kylian Mbappe
Now, there’s absolutely no doubt that he’s enjoyed threading the ball through to speedsters like Jamie Vardy, Ayoze Perez, and Kelechi Iheanacho this season, but the attacking options in his FUT team are on another level, to be fair.
In front of Maddison in his team is a forward three of famous Brazilian striker Ronaldo, Pele – potentially the best player to ever play the game – and Kylian Mbappe, one of the world’s fastest and most promising forwards. It is quite the lineup, to say the least.
It should come as no surprise to see van Dijk at the back, playing alongside AC Milan legend and Icon card Maldini, giving the team a quality defense to match the attack.
One user offered some chemistry advice to improve the team, too, saying: “Switch himself and Kante for 10 chemistry on everyone,” although it seems he would prefer to play his own 99 card right through the middle.
