Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has four different difficulty settings. The names alongside a brief description for each have been listed below:

Easy

This is the easiest setting to go for in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. This setting is catered towards players who are new to the game and just want to enjoy the story. While playing on Easy, you don’t have to worry about combat at all to the point where you might feel tired at times from fighting the AI that never hits back.

Normal

Normal is the most preferred and balanced setting you will come across in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. This difficulty setting allows you to enjoy the story as usual, but the combat will never feel boring as the AI is more active compared to the Easy mode.

Hard

Hard mode unlocks only after finishing the game once. However, it makes sense as the combat in this mode is the most unforgiving as you’ll face exceptionally hard challenges with restrictions such as the inability to use items. Therefore, you will have to be flawless in your combat to clear this mode.

Dynamic

This is a difficulty setting where the game will adjust its level based on how you play. This mode can be more challenging than the easy or normal modes depending on how good you are at combat.
