Final Fantasy XIV’s Dawntrail brought in plenty of new mounts for players to go out and collect, here’s how to get the Monowheel S1.

Dawntrail in Final Fantasy XIV included a bunch of new items for the brave Warriors of Light to collect. These drop from various activities within the MMO, making them quite a chore to find. Fortunately, we’ve got a handy guide on how to get the Monowheel S1 mount.

Patch 7.05 for Final Fantasy was a big one. Not only did we get a huge amount of balance changes for almost every class, but we also saw the introduction of treasure dungeons, new gear, and of course the Savage difficulty versions of the Arcadion Light-heavyweight class.

The new patch also means plenty of new items to go out and grab, so here’s how to get your very own Monowheel S1 mount in Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail.

How to get the Monowheel S1 mount

The Monowheel S1 mount can be obtained from the fight AAC Light-heavyweight M4 (Savage). This is the fourth and final fight of the Light-heavyweight tier on Savage difficulty, making it one of the most challenging mounts to obtain in the game.

Not only will you need to complete the previous fights before it to unlock it, but the fourth fight of any raid tier is always the most challenging. This particular fight includes an in-game transition, which makes it a grueling match that takes upwards of 12 minutes to complete. Even if you do complete it, you’ll have to fight the other players in your party for the mount, with the highest roll normally taking it.

If you’re looking to take on the fight, it’s recommended that you gear up well, know your class, and also be prepared to spend multiple hours understanding the mechanics. Additionally, you’ll need to find a party to take the fights on with. Using Party Finder is an option here, but you’re basically rolling the dice with what quality of players you’ll get.

You could also join a static, which is a consistent raiding group that meets up at scheduled times to raid together. This can be better as you’ll form friendships with these players, and have a more organized method of handing out loot to everyone. My static hands the mount out to the healers first, as the DPS get the equipment from the fights first.
