How to get the Rroneek mount in Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail

Dawntrail has introduced plenty of new items for Final Fantasy XIV players to go out and collect, including minions, glamor items, and much more. The Rroneek is featured within the MSQ of Dawntrail, so here’s how you can get one for yourself.

Final Fantasy XIV’s Dawntrail expansion has been one of the best to ever be released into the MMO. Featuring a brand new start after the conclusion of Endwalker, the expansion sets out on a whole new tone, giving us a brand new adventure in a distant and unfamiliar land.

Of course, a new adventure brings tonnes of new things to collect, with plenty of mounts, minions, and other cosmetics being added on Dawntrail’s launch. Some of the mounts are the curious creatures that roam the lands of Tural, with the Rroneek being featured in the Shaaloani zone.

Even though we don’t get much time with the critters, we’re able to get a mount with one, provided you know how to do so.

Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail: how to get the Rroneek mount

The Rroneek mount can be purchased from the Splendors Vendor in Solution Nine for 100 Rroneek Horn Tokens. These tokens are no joke either, requiring a hefty amount of gathering to obtain enough Orange Scrips.

One Rroneek Horn Token can be purchased for 1000 Orange Gatherer Scrips, meaning you’ll need 1,000,000 Orange Scrips in total to grab the mount. This is a huge undertaking and means you’ll need to hand in various gathering collectibles, custom deliveries, and much more to farm enough for the mount.

If you want to get around this, however, you can purchase Rroneek Horn Tokens on the market board from other players. This will cost you a fortune though, since the mount is so new and many players are after it. The price will also depend on your data center and server, so this strategy might be more or less viable depending on where you’re at.
