Is Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth getting a PC release?
So far, a PC port for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has not been officially announced. Square Enix has said that the game will remain a PS5 exclusive until at least May 29, 2024.
For context, Final Fantasy 7 Remake released on April 10, 2020 for PS4 and didn’t get a PC release until December 16, 2021. This was also six months after the launch of Intergrade for PS5, which served as a next-gen port and expansion of the original.
Similarly, fans are still waiting for Final Fantasy 16 to get a PC port after its June 22, 2023 release.
Based on this history, players will likely have to wait at least a year for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth to get a PC port. However, this may be for the best, as Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s PC release was initially slammed as the “worst AAA” port ever, though it’s now considered pretty solid.
