Former McDonald’s worker shares viral fries hack
TikTok: rubyguesttA former McDonald’s worker has gone viral for sharing “the best Maccas combo” that staff use to take their fries to the next level.
Fast food chain McDonald’s is renowned for its beloved french fries, especially when they are ordered fresh and arrive still steaming hot.
Hence, it should come as no surprise that this staple of McDonald’s menu is the chain’s bestseller, with customers opting to add fries to their orders all across the globe.
And now, thanks to one former employee of the food chain, customers can ensure their fries arrive tastier than ever by adding a certain delicious ingredient to the mix.
Ruby Guest, who goes by ‘rubyguestt‘ on TikTok, took to the social media app to share a viral hack employees use when ordering fries. Dubbing the hack as the “best Maccas combo,” Ruby said, “Stop scrolling and hear me out. I’m a former Maccas employee and if you have not done this with your fries, you need to.”
“When you go to Maccas, ask for Angus seasoning on your fries because it is literally the best thing. Like so much better than normal salt and it tastes so good,” she continued. Claiming the fries at McDonald’s are “already amazing,” Ruby stated that adding Angus seasoning made the fries “literally so good that you can’t go back to normal seasoning.”
Some viewers were stoked to see the Angus seasoning and fries combo get recognition, with fellow former employees supporting Ruby’s claim that the hack was “literally so bomb.” However, not all were able to find success in trying the viral hack.
“I came back for this video [because you] stitched me up,” one person wrote. “The Maccas workers have no idea [what the f***] Angus seasoning is, I’ve never been so embarrassed.”
Another commenter revealed they too had been told “no” when attempting to order the combo, with a third claiming, “[The staff] have a meltdown any time you ask them to do ANYTHING off script.”
Nonetheless, Ruby has stood by her viral fries hack, advising those met with rejection while ordering to try a different store.
