Waffle House customers throw drinks and signs at employees in massive brawl

A Waffle House in Franklin, Ohio was the location for a recent brawl between customers and workers, which saw drinks and a wet floor sign being thrown over the counters.

Waffle House’s reputation precedes itself. The 24-hour breakfast chain is known throughout the US for being the go-to spot after a night of heavy drinking, serving up calorie-dense meals for hungry partiers.

However, in modern times, Waffle House seems to be better known for its fights than its coffee, with countless brawl videos taking place inside the chain.

While some argue the fights are actually good for their business model, workers are often seen being the victims of the fights, making it a dangerous workplace, which resulted in workers petitioning for safer work environments.

One of the most recent fights took place at 3am in Franklin, Ohio on January 21, but police have recently released more footage from the brawl in the hopes of identifying more people.

Waffle House brawl sees customers throw things at workers

Franklin Police released bodycam footage on January 25 from an incident at a local Waffle House in Ohio. Since then, they managed to identify three people who took part in the brawl but have now released new footage in hopes of identifying the final two individuals, Fox19 reported.

The newly released video from inside the restaurant shows three people on each side of the register who look like they are recording videos and dancing at 3am on January 21, 2024, in Franklin, Ohio.

Police report that when workers at the restaurant asked them to quiet down or leave, one of the women tossed a drink at a Waffle House employee. The video shows that drinks, napkin holders, sugar containers, and a wet floor sign were thrown over the counter at the employees by the customers.

After releasing the video, local police say they’ve issued warrants for three of the people involved but they are still trying to identify two other women, according to Fox19.

“We had this incident last month at a Waffle House and lots of video evidence. Sooner or later, it’s going to catch up to you like most things do and we’re not going to tolerate that kind of behavior in the city,” Franklin Police Chief Adam Colon said.

They continued to say they’d filed warrants for Dayton locals Brittany Appleberry, Andrea Lovett, and Duane Hutchinson. The warrants are for various offenses, including assault, criminal damage, and failure to comply.

The chief says the women they are still looking for have two options: turn themselves in and share their side of the story, or they can wait until officers find them.
