Walmart employee hands customer vest and asks them to quit for her

A woman went viral after she shared a story where a Walmart employee handed her their vest and asked her to quit for them. 

TikToker Lilroxy had an unusual experience on her most recent trip to Walmart as she took to the short-form video platform to reveal what happened. 

In the video’s caption, she wrote: “I pointed and she handed me her Walmart Employee vest and resigned from her position that very moment.”

In the video, she explains what really went down: “I am walking into Walmart looking down at my phone and went to a cart in the middle of the entryway. This beautiful lady comes to me and asks if I knew where customer service was.

Lilroxy located a manager to tell them that the employee had quit. When she found one, she explained: “I hate to inform you, but June has officially quit. … She handed this to me when I walked in and got my cart and asked me to come take it to you, and she said she’s done.”

“You know her?” the manager asked, clearly confused.

“No, I don’t, I’m here just to shop,” the TikToker replied. “I walked in, she said, ‘Do you know where customer service is?’ And, like, ‘Please hand them this.’” The manager then apologized and told Lilroxy that they’d look into the situation.

After the video was posted on TikTok, it gained over 944,000 views, with people eager to weigh in on what went down. 

“Poor lady must’ve gone through pure hell at work to do this. Thank you for being there for her. I used to work for that company. I know,” one empathized. 

“I understand her, they treat you terribly. I worked at Walmart for a year and ended up getting fired while pregnant because a manager targeted me and they didn’t want to pay me maternity leave,” another revealed. 

One commented on the manager’s response to the situation, writing: “The way she’s acting like she doesn’t know they treated her like crap. Guaranteed she was pushed out.”
