When does Fortnite Season 10 end and Season 11 start?

Fortnite Season X began on August 1, but, in the ever-changing battle royale, eyes are already being set on the upcoming Season 11. Here’s everything we know so far.

Fortnite Season 10 has had a controversial start with the addition of the B.R.U.T.E mech, that has many players wondering if a nerf is already being planned.

Epic Games are no strangers to controversy like this, whether it’s Ballers, planes, the Infinity Sword or now mechs. This means some players may already be looking forward to Season 11, and the end of the current season.

Mechs have been a huge part of Season X so far.

When does Fortnite Season 10 end?

Seasons typically run for 10 weeks, but Epic Games have shown a willingness to extend them as needed in the past.

If we jump ahead to 10 weeks after August 1, we’re put smack dab in the middle of October, Thursday, October 10 specifically, as a natural endpoint for the season.

Luckily, they usually provide Overtime Challenges so the season doesn’t completely overstay its welcome as fans await what’s coming on the horizon.

Provided there are no extensions or delays, Season 10 would end on October 10, perfectly setting the stage for yet another Halloween event for Fortnite to deliver, if they decide to go that route.

Another Halloween event should be in the cards for Season 11.

When does Fortnite Season 11 begin?

New seasons of Fortnite will usually begin right after the end of the previous one, and Thursday is a common day for updates, which means we should be looking at Season 11 on the same day.

However, there is every chance there will be a delay, like has happened with Seasons 9 and 10.

If October 10 does end up being the start of Season 11, expect yet another Fortnitemares, or similar Halloween-themed event to begin shortly after. Fortnite has run a Halloween event each year so don’t expect that to change now.

The second Fortnitemares event was very controversial among players due to the unvaulting of the Skull Trooper skin and poorly received zombies all over the map, but did feature a pretty sweet event.

Hopefully, Epic learned from their mistakes and will avoid them this time around, although we’re not holding out breath.
