100 Thieves explain how they beat FaZe Clan’s Fortnite world record

On September 5, a team made up of 100 Thieves Fortnite pros ‘Kenith’, ‘Parallax’, ‘Risker’ and ‘SirDimetrious’ broke the world record for kills in squads on PC. In a recent video, the quartet explained how it happened on the ground.

“Honestly we just stayed alive right off the bat and found the right amount of players,” Parallax said.

Well, most of the team stayed alive. Unfortunately, Risker fell out a tree at Shifty Shafts and was eliminated. But it all worked out in the end, becuase the other three members of his team managed to finish the round and take the world record away from FaZe.

The four all landed in different areas of the map to begin their hunt for the world record.

“I went Tilted,” Parallax said. “There was actually no one in Tilted and I was kinda worried early game that we wouldn’t be able to get enough kills.”

Even though Parallax wasn’t finding a ton of luck in Tilted, he was able to alert his team to a group of players headed towards Shifty Shafts. Kenith was in the area and quickly added a few more scalps to the 100 Thieves collection.

From there, Kenith and Parallax grouped up, while SirDemitrious continued to hunt on the other side of the map. Squad after squad fell to 100T and at the end of the day they walked away with the win and the new world record.
